Ditto Acquires SuperOrbital

Scaling Ditto’s Cloud and Edge Infrastructure for Mission-Critical Deployments

Ditto is excited to announce the acquisition of SuperOrbital, a top-tier consulting firm specializing in Kubernetes and cloud-native engineering. SuperOrbital’s expert engineering team and CEO Tammer Saleh—formerly VP of Engineering at Pivotal Cloud Foundry—will join Ditto’s cloud platform team.

“At Ditto, we’ve always believed that exceptional engineering is the foundation of reliability at scale,” said Adam Fish, CEO of Ditto. “Bringing SuperOrbital into the fold accelerates our ability to deliver resilient, high-performance infrastructure—especially as our customers rely on Ditto in increasingly critical environments. Tammer and his team bring unmatched depth in cloud-native technologies, and we’re thrilled to welcome them.”

This acquisition perfectly aligns with Ditto’s mission of delivering best-in-class engineering and unmatched reliability, particularly as Ditto continues deploying its Edge Sync platform into increasingly mission-critical environments. While Ditto is best known for its revolutionary peer-to-peer mesh technology connecting edge devices, its server and cloud services are equally crucial for managing data flow between edge devices and backend systems.

Built on Kubernetes and enhanced by a custom Operator, Ditto’s cloud services support complex distributed data architectures. For instance, customers deploy Ditto Servers in unique scenarios such as cruise ship data centers, which maintain periodic connections with cloud-based servers while simultaneously enabling local synchronization capabilities for onboard devices via Ditto’s Edge Sync SDK.

“SuperOrbital has always been about empowering engineering teams with deep, hands-on expertise,” said Tammer Saleh, founder and CEO of SuperOrbital. “Joining Ditto is a natural evolution for us. We get to apply everything we’ve learned in Kubernetes and distributed systems to help scale one of the most innovative data synchronization platforms out there. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.”

SuperOrbital’s deep expertise in Kubernetes and cloud-native engineering significantly enhances Ditto’s already exceptional engineering team, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to engineering excellence and high service reliability.

Welcome aboard, SuperOrbital!
